FOODIES UNITE! Join us at the Des Moines Social Club?s fourth annual Food Truck Throw Down for a kick-off to summer and celebration of local food and music fanfare. $5 admission gives attendees access to 15+ food trucks, live music, Iowa Beverage beer tents, art activities, and more. In its fourth year, the Food Truck Throw Down has become a staple Des Moines festival and is expected to draw 5,000 people from downtown and beyond. It?s a bustling day in the heart of downtown Des Moines; attendees can start their day at the Downtown Farmers? Market in the morning and continue their fun downtown in the afternoon.

This year we've got something special for you - it's the Des Moines Social Club's 10th anniversary and we are celebrating all year long! At every major event hosted by DMSC, we'll have a special activity to be included in our TIME CAPSULE. At Food Truck Throw Down, put your mark on DMSC for future patrons to enjoy by joining us in creating a collaborative art piece!

WHEN: Saturday, May 12, 11AM-8PM (good news ? we?ve got your lunch AND dinner covered!)
WHERE: 7th-9th streets on Cherry Street + the Des Moines Social Club Courtyard
TICKETS: $5 admission at event entrance (ages 10 and under free)

FOOD TRUCKS:

PARKING: Free ramp parking is available east of the firehouse in the ramp between 8th & 9th St. and Mulberry & Cherry St. Enter the ramp via Mulberry St. only. DO NOT park in the West End Architectural Salvage lot. Free street parking is also available. View a map of additional downtown parking options here. Biking, walking, carpooling, and DARTing are all encouraged forms of transportation to and from the event! If you plan to drink, please don?t plan to drive. Bike parking is available near the 8th St. entrance. DMSC and Iowa Beverage are not liable for any lost or stolen property.

ADMISSION: Admission is $5, paid at the entrance. Kids 10 and under are free. Cash and cards will be accepted. If you would like to purchase beer, you will be ID?d and given a wristband at the drink ticket station (information below). PLEASE have your ID and form of payment ready.

DRINK TICKETS: Drink tickets must be purchased to redeem at the bars. All beverages cost one drink ticket and each drink ticket costs $5. BARS WILL NOT ACCEPT CASH. Stay tuned for a map of drink ticket stations.

DRINKS: There are three bar locations (stay tuned for a map). All drinks cost one drink ticket (see above). Guests who bring in alcoholic beverages from outside the event may be asked to leave. Pop and water are available to purchase, 1 ticket for two non-alcoholic drinks. As always?we encourage you to safely enjoy any alcoholic beverages. If you plan to drink, please don?t plan to drive.

MUSIC: There will be great music all day on the DMSC stage in the Courtyard! The full schedule of music is listed above. Be sure to check it out from the Rooftop Patio, or take a load off at one of the picnic tables in the Courtyard area.

HOUSEKEEPING: PLEASE help us keep our city clean! There will be plenty of places to dispose of trash and recyclables, we ask that you make the effort to locate those places. PLEASE respect our neighbors! Our neighborhood is full of awesome restaurants, businesses, and residences. Please keep these guys in mind as you enjoy your time at the Throw Down. Don?t ask to use their bathrooms, don?t park in their parking spots, and please make sure all trash is disposed of properly.

SEATING: There will be picnic tables available for seating throughout the event area. Camp chairs or picnic blankets are permitted, though there may be limited space for them. Please consider others when choosing a place to take a load off. DMSC and Iowa Beverage are not liable for any lost or stolen property.
