Can anybody play?
Yes, anyone can play, however because it is an Adult Open Mic Night we do encourage people to be 18 and above or at least prepare yourself that it will be mostly adults and who may use adult language.
How much does it cost to perform at the Open Mic?
$10 for artist and per band member
I play in a band, is my band allowed to play?
Yes, your full band or partial band is allowed to play.
I am a comedian or a spoken word artist, poet, magician or have a talent can I perform?
Yes, we would love to have any type of artist performance at our open mic?s! Please inform us of what you will be performing for us to help accommodate you.
How many songs can my band play?
2 Songs or a 10 minute set.
What if I go over the time limit?
You must be done setting up within 10 minutes, when you are done performing please make sure you get your gear off stage as quickly as possible so the next act can utilize the most of their 10 minute set up.
Is their a guest list for my fans?
No, everyone must pay $5 entry fee.
Can I bring in my own equipment or my own backline?
To make the show run smoothly, Rock City Studios will carry the backline equipment for a full list of our backline equipment please visit our website at https://www.rockcitystudios.net/specs. Drummers can bring in their cymbals, kick pedal and a snare and guitarist can bring in their heads to plug into our cabinets. However, if your setup takes more then 10 minutes your performance will be cut to 5 minutes.
How must is the Video/Audio recording of my set?
Yes, for solo artists, it is $75 per song. For full bands it is $100 per song. This comes with the audio mixed and synced to the video fully edited. More info on our recording and video studio: https://www.rockcitystudios.net/recording-studio
How do I get my recordings?
We can either send you a WeTransfer file or you can bring in a USB or Thunderbolt Drive.
When Should I Arrive?
All artists should arrive around 30 minutes before doors open to check in and make sure we have your stage plot correctly.
What is a stage plot and why do I have to send it in?
A stage plot is a graphic representation that illustrates your band's setup when you perform live, your placement on stage, what gear you use, and some other helpful information. Be sure to include: A basic visual that shows where each member is positioned on stage.
There is a large free parking lot.
Is there a professional photographer at the venue who can take pictures?
Yes, please make this arrangement with the office by emailing us. Our in house photographer is www.erikademartini.com
Can I bring my own photographer/videographer?
Yes, the person would have to pay admission and can not use flash.
