About Ellen: Ellen Santasiero's essays, memoirs, interviews, and articles have appeared in Northwest Review, Marlboro Review, The Sun, Oregon Humanities, High Desert Journal, thestayproject, and The Polk Street Review. A 1979 graduate of Noblesville High School, she lives, writes and teaches in Oregon. She?s thrilled to be back again this year to connect with Noblesville writers!

Logan Street Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer nonprofit cultural arts organization.

We're thrilled to welcome back two of our favorites, Frank Lee and Allie Burbrink! Frank and Allie present songs and tunes from the rural Southern, spanning old time, blues, bluegrass, and spirituals. They took their duo act on the road in January 2016, with Frank playing guitar, slide guitar, and banjo and Allie playing guitar, banjo, and harmonica. You can hear them trading off lead and harmony vocals in their duo and with their old time string band The Freight Hoppers. A passion for traditional songs and tunes from the rural South has fueled Frank's love of performing for the past 40 years. As a founding member of The Freight Hoppers, he has shared this passion with audiences all over the United States, Canada, and northern Europe. His repertoire has a range of old time music from raw Blues from the Mississippi Delta to the hillbilly music recorded in the 1920s. Banjo players all over the world study and emulate Frank?s signature clawhammer sound.

Allie Burbrink is a founding member of The Whipstitch Sallies, a bluegrass-influenced band from Indiana that toured in North Carolina, Colorado, and Hawaii in addition to a busy local schedule. She works with the Wernick Method Bluegrass Jamming organization and performs in the duo and with The Freight Hoppers.

Frank and Allie also organize an old time music retreat in the Great Smoky Mountains in early April called the Banjo-Fiddle Frolic.

Logan Street Sanctuary (LSS) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) not-for-profit cultural arts organization.
At all events, we put out a glass bowl for LSS donations to "keep the lights on". At our concert events, we ask $15 at the door ~ $10 goes directly to the performers, and $5 donation goes directly to support LSS.

In this workshop, we will focus on cultural context in our four selected books and their passages from all four books and their passages. You are welcome to bring the tools of your creativity (any media of art, music, writing, creating) to work with as we discuss the books and find inspiration for your creative submissions. Page & Stage, northern Indy?s newest theatre company, is hosting a drama-for-literacy camp in the summer of 2018! The camp is for ages 4-18 and all levels of experience. It is directed by Dr. Paul ?Spike? Wilson, former director of the Kokomo Summer Drama Camp, one of the largest and most successful theatre camps in the eastern US. Page & Stage Co. is a theatre dedicated to education, outreach, literacy, and community.

Camp runs June 25-July 27, with final performances on July 27 and 28.

Basic Session runs Mondays and Wednesdays 9am-12pm.

Intermediate Session runs Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am-12pm.

Advanced Session runs 12:30-4pm Monday through Thursday.

Free Theatre Fridays are 12-3pm. It is $25 for those not in the camp. For campers Free Theatre Fridays are free.

There is a 15 camper limit per session per session. Spaces tend to fill up quickly!

Page & Stage Summer Drama camp is extremely affordable - just $175 for Basic and Intermediate, $225 for Advanced. Registration does not include the cost of an optional camp t shirt. Scholarships are available based on need. Siblings are half-price.
