Vance Gilbert burst onto the singer-songwriter scene in the early '90s when buzz started spreading in the folk clubs of Boston about an ex-multicultural arts teacher who was knocking 'em dead at open mics. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Vance started out hoping to be a jazz singer, and then discovered his affinity for the storytelling sensibilities of acoustic folk music. Once word got out about Vance's stage-owning singing and playing, Shawn Colvin invited him to be special guest on her Fat City Tour. Noted not only for being the ever consummate performer, Vance has recorded 12 albums, including four for Philo/Rounder Records and a duo album with friend Ellis Paul. He has been the opener of choice for artists as varied as Aretha Franklin, Arlo Guthrie, Anita Baker, George Carlin, Paul Reiser and The Subdudes.

Some artists document their lives through their music. Others chronicle their times. It?s a rare artist who can do both, telling their own story through songs that also encapsulate the essence of people and places who have helped define their era overall. Ellis Paul is one of those gifted singer/songwriters. Queen of blue-eyed rock 'n? soul Christine Ohlman grew up loving equally the sweetness of a Memphis horn line and the raunch of an electric guitar riff, whether played by Muddy Waters, Keith Richards or Pop Staples. She teased her blonde hair into a beehive in honor of Ronnie Spector and never looked back, picking up a guitar and forging a career as a songwriter in the process.

Ohlman is the current, long-time vocalist with the Saturday Night Live Band. Her latest CD, ?The Deep End,? was honored on five national Top 10 lists and features special guests/duet partners Ian Hunter, Dion DiMucci and Marshall Crenshaw, plus Levon Helm, GE Smith, Andy York, Eric ?Roscoe? Ambel, Catherine Russell, Big Al Anderson and others. Ohlman topped theAlternateRoot.com?s Readers? Poll as top Americana vocalist, joining other winners Paul Thorn, The Mavericks and Rodney Crowell.

In 2017, Ohlman was inducted into the National Blues Hall of Fame of American Heritage International. She appears on Grammy nominees ?A Tribute To Howlin? Wolf? (with Taj Mahal and Lucinda Williams) and Charlie Musselwhite?s ?One Night In America? (with Marty Stuart); sings the theme song for NBC?s ?30 Rock?; worked on a musical with the late Cy Coleman (who compared her sense of timing to Peggy Lee?s); duets live with friends like the aforementioned Miss Spector, Mac Rebennack (two private evening of duets she calls ?absolute highlights?), Americana stalwart Paul Thorn, Bonnie Bramlett (who has become a longtime friend), Muscle Shoals legends Donnie Fritts and John Paul White of the Civil Wars, and New Orleans mainstays The Subdudes; worked often with the late blues giants Hubert Sumlin and Eddie Kirkland; collaborated on critically-acclaimed tracks with Marshall Crenshaw (?Labour Of Love: The Music of Nick Lowe?), Big Al Anderson (?Pawn Shop Guitars?) and Ian Hunter (?When I?m President? and ?Shrunken Heads?); edited legendary Rolling Stones producer Andrew Loog Oldham?s autobiography ?2Stoned? and appears also on Oldham?s historic 2013 release ?Andrew Loog Oldham and Friends Sing The Rolling Stones Songbook Vol. 2.?

A musicologist of note, Ohlman is a cover-story-writing contributor to Elmore Magazine, and worked with Bonnie Raitt, Ry Cooder and others on the Rhythm & Blues Foundation Awards.

Happy Traum is a well-known fixture in the Hudson Valley and a veteran of the Greenwich Village folk scene who will be joined by his son, Adam Traum and Adam's regular touring partner Colin Gilmore. The three artists first met doing two critically acclaimed shows in the San Francisco Bay Area with Colin?s father Jimmie Dale Gilmore in June of 2016.

Although Adam Traum has been influenced by the folk music he grew up around in Woodstock, N.Y., as a songwriter and interpreter of roots music he brings his own aesthetic to the music he plays. Colin Gilmore grew up in Lubbock Texas, where he watched his father play with songwriters like Joe Ely, Butch Hancock and Terry Allen. Colin now has three critically acclaimed albums and a world wide following of his own. Happy Traum continues to expand his extensive repertoire of songs, with a smooth vocal delivery and his sublime fingerpicking guitar style.

As a young boy, Robert Gordon was inspired to become a musician after hearing Elvis Presley singing ?Heartbreak Hotel? and, later, was influenced by great soul men like Otis Redding and James Brown. The rest, as they say, is history, with more than a dozen albums and countless performances under his belt.

Gordon is joined for this special show by guitarists (and sometimes collaborators) Chris Spedding and Rob Stoner and drummer Anton Fig. All have extensive bona fides, collectively having played and recorded with the likes of Bob Dylan, Jack Bruce, John Cale, Pete Seeger, Joni Mitchell, Garland Jeffreys, Arlen Roth and too many others to name. In addition to being the drummer in David Letterman's house band for decades, Fig is also a producer and recording/touring artist.

Jake and David Bernz present ?The Lost River Tapes,? a collection of original and re-worked trad tunes, many featured on their new recording project being released June 16. Jake and David hail from Beacon, New York, where roots music has found a welcome home in the Hudson Valley.

David is a two-time Grammy-winning producer for Pete Seeger and a longtime Hudson Valley performing artist. His son Jacob is one of the Valley's most prolific songwriters, whose high, honest tenor has captivated audiences from the start he is now working on his fifth CD of all original material.
