One of the leading bands in Colombia?s new music scene, Monsieur Periné won the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist and earned a Grammy Award nomination for their most recent album, Caja de Música. Rooted in gypsy jazz and celebrating the tradition of Django Reinhardt, Monsieur Periné?s fresh style adds a variety of Latin elements to the mix. Incorporating genres like cumbia, son, bolero, tango, and samba, the band performs on traditional South American instruments from the charango, to the bandoneon, and Latin percussion. Their airy yet virtuosic instrumental foundation connects 1930s Paris with the youthful spirit of modern Bogotá. It?s the perfect backdrop to showcase Catalina Garcia?s sugar-sweet, sunshiny vocals at the very center of their signature ?swing a la Colombiana? style. With the help of the illustrator José Arboleda and their own fashion designer, the band has created a world of their own that comes to life in their music, their artwork, and, of course, their performances. Rock is dead, they say? Hogwash. Don?t even bring up such an idea with the four-piece Cullman, Alabama-bred rockers Shallow Side, who have taken it to be their personal holy mission to spread the glory of modern rock & roll as far and as wide as they can to anyone who will listen. ?The energy and excitement of rock & roll is missing nowadays, and we need it now more than ever,? believes Shallow Side?s frontman, vocalist Eric Boatright. ?Our goal is that we want to revitalize that entire genre and remind the world how rock & roll can be such a strong force in everyone?s lives.?

The proof of Shallow Side?s pure rocking prowess can be found within the deep grooves of their new EP titled ONE, which is being released by Thermal Entertainment on January 13, 2017. Turns out, Rage Against the Machine?s music is more relevant now than ever. That?s why we?ve formed Brass Against the Machine, a NYC-based brass band covering rage and other protest music?because we need this music now more than ever before.

Brass Against the Machine features 9 band members: Andrew Gutauskas (Bari Sax/Arranger), Brad Hammonds (Guitar/Arranger), Darius Christian (Vocals/Trombone), Sophia Urista (Vocals), Mariel Bildsten (Trombone), Wayne Tucker (Trumpet), Oskar Stenmark (Trumpet), Steven Duffy (Sousaphone) and Nathan Bell (Drums)?some of NYC?s top musicians. They?ve come together to form a unique brass band that combines rock and edgy hip-hop to create music that is both powerful and empowering.

Founded by Brad Hammonds, the band covers Rage Against the Machine, Living Colour, Gil Scott Heron, Janes Addiction, A Tribe Called Quest, and Led Zeppelin, amongst others. For their latest video they decided to mash Beyoncé?s Freedom with RATM?s Freedom.

Pablo Ziegler
For decades, Buenos Aires-born, Grammy-winning pianist, composer and arranger Pablo Ziegler has been one of the most important figures in Argentine nuevo tango, the vibrant musical hybrid of classic tango, American jazz, and European art music. ?He is cool, understated and makes everything look easy and natural,? writes Mark Swed of The Los Angeles Times, ?just as a really suave tango dancer seems not to move with feet but on wheels, Ziegler skates the keyboard.?

After performing in tango grand-maestro Astor Piazzolla?s legendary quintet for over a decade, and appearing on iconic Piazzolla recordings including Tango: Zero Hour, La Camorra and Central Park Concert, Ziegler has led his own groups for over 20 years, refining and reimagining the bounds of the modern tango tradition.

The Pablo Ziegler Trio was awarded Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album in 2018 for their album, Jazz Tango, marking the first ever nuevo tango release to win a major Grammy. Recent seasons have seen Ziegler performing at major venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Muziekgebouw, Verbier Festival, Ravinia Festival, SFJAZZ, La Jolla Summer Fest, Montreal Jazz Festival, Birdland, the Blue Note, Tokyo Jazz Festival. and many others.

In addition to his recent Grammy win, Ziegler received a Latin Grammy for Best Tango Album, along with four additional Latin Grammy nominations from 2005 to 2016. Pablo Ziegler is a Steinway Artist.

Chano Domínguez
Chano Domínguez is one of the most celebrated of jazz pianists and composers. His singular work is defined by his flamenco origins.

In more than 40 years of his career, he has dazzled all kinds of audiences, including other musicians spanning both worlds of jazz and flamenco.

His interpretive talents are highly sought after for his authentic integration of both jazz and flamenco traditions, working with an extensive range of colleagues such as Paco de Lucía, Enrique Morente, Jorge Pardo, Carles Benavent, Martirio, Wynton Marsalis, Paquito d?Rivera, Jack DeJohnette, Herbie Hancock, Jerry Gonzalez, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Michel Camino, Chucho Valdés, Joe Lovano, and George Mraz, among others.

Chano has achieved an unusual integration between the rhythms and languages of jazz and flamenco, creating a unique style that places him among the top musicians practicing this artform. Internationally acclaimed, he has influenced and changed the history of flamenco-jazz.

His music has been played by many different ensembles and orchestras such as the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, WDR Cologne Big Band, Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta Nacional de Latvia, Orquesta de Cámara del Vallés, and the Orquesta Nacional de Costa Rica.

In 2016 he?s been nominated for his fourth Grammy, this one a Latin Grammy for his latest release ?Bendito?. This recording features Chano as producer, composer and pianist with his preferred ?cantaor? (flamenco singer) Blas Cordoba aka ?El Kejio?.

Chano is also a seasoned educator, available for master classes, workshops and residencies. He has previously taught at Taller de Músics in Barcelona, The Music Conservatory of Bogotá, the Julliard School in New York and at the School of Music at the University of Washington, among others.

Chano is currently living in New York, where Sunnyside Records has just released his new piano solo album Over the Rainbow.
