Did you know that Martin Luther King Day has been federally designated as a National Day of Service for more than 20 years? It's "a day on, not a day off," when people honor the work of Dr. King by pitching in to help in the community. Here at PCA we celebrated the Day of Service each year by bringing a big bunch of fun folks together for a morning of cleaning, painting, and sprucing up the Arts Center building.
Show up at 10:00 AM in work clothes and closed-toe shoes, and we'll put you on a team. Each team will tackle a room of the building for two hours, then we'll all gather for a Great Pacific pizza lunch at noon.
Last year we had more than 50 people here, and this year we're shooting for 100 (!). Be part of the crew, we'd love to have you! Kids 12 and up are welcome. Want more info? Give us a call at 541-278-9201.
