Noah and Rachel are havin' a baby!
That's right! Life, as they know it, is going to change significantly, and forever, in about two and half months when the little Giblin enters the world.
In celebration thereof, we are throwing a Baby Shower for Noah here at Kiss The Sky. A Baby Shower that sheds a little light upon the Dad. Traditionally, the light shines brightly down upon the Mom and baby, which is understandable and actually is the way it should be. At the same time, it's appropriate, we feel, that the Dad gets a little bit of love and is not made to be felt neglected.
So ... the party will consist of some food and libations ... bring a favorite record to share and spin because we'll have the turntable warmed up and ready to go. If you want to bring a guitar or harmonica or another favorite instrument, do that as well and we'll pause the turntable to let you, or yous, entertain with a song or two.
Gifts are cool but not expected ... Noah has his eyes set on a guitar hanging out at Cremer Guitarworks and he's always got his eyes set on records here at Kiss The Sky. You can certainly donate a buck or two to one of those two funds as Steve will be maintaining an envelope for each. As we all know, especially those of us that have traveled down a similar road, once that baby is born, ALL disposable income, if any, will be allocated for diapers, formula, baby food and, not to mention, a college fund. Consequently, Noah will be disappearing from the music consumer scene for a long long time.
Get those taxes done (actually you have until Tuesday, the 17th of April to postmark those envelopes) and please stop on by and help us celebrate Rachel and Noah and their entry into the land of parenthood.
