Jazz Is PHSH is an instrumental tribute to Phish inspired by the popular tribute to The Grateful Dead, "Jazz is Dead". Jazz is Phish features members of The Giant Country Horns (Phish), Snarky Puppy, Dave Matthews Band, Victor Wooten Band,
Sun Ra Arketra, Strange Design and more!

Founded in 2015 by The Chase Brothers, Adam Chase and Matthew Chase, Jazz is Phish has quickly become a world renown tribute to Phish, attracting some of the most influential musicians in the jazz and jam scenes to take part in this
collective approach to paying tribute to one of the most important and influential bands in Rock and Roll history.
With the music of Phish being both largely improvised as well as highly composed, the framework of Phish's music is the perfect vehicle for exploring in an instrumental setting. The compositions are both challenging and adaptive.

Jazz is Phish provides an exploration of Phish music unlike anything else.

The Nervous Eaters, were originally managed by Jimmy Harold, owner of the Ratskeller. They recorded their first two singles for Rat Records. They also were thesecond house band after Barry and The Remains. For a good 2 years, The Eaters opened and head-lined with just about every major band to play the Rat. They also recorded with Elektra records, Penniman and No Tomorrow records. The Nervous Eaters are proud of their long association with Rick Harte and Ace of Hearts records. New Eaters CD's are planned by The AOH's Label.

Summer Season Celebration & Nature Awakening
July 9th, 2018

Discuss Nature processes and cycles, focusing on the current season. Discover how the season was celebrated in Human history. Enjoy a set of outdoor knowledge and sensory games to get to know each other while learning about Nature and our immediate environment.

The class includes the making of a decoration inspired by Summer & Nature (using Nature material if possible).

Closer to Nature is a collaboration between Earthwise Aware and the Center for Arts at the Armory. The program is designed for youth (12+) to explore and enjoy the natural world around the Armory through storytelling, nature & naturalist walks, sketching & journaling, art, and science.

Closer to Nature cultivates a deep understanding that Nature conservation starts right where we live, in our own backyards, city parks, and forests. The program aims at inspiring its participants to become mentors in their communities by taking part in awareness programs and sharing their knowledge with communities, schools, friends and family members.

Date & Time: The nature group will meet every day for a week starting Monday, July 9th until Friday, July 13th (from 9 am to 12:00 pm), to experience our theme-based nature topics.

Class Size: The minimum class size is 3 participants. Quality is important to us, and we limit our classes to 8-12 depending on the audience age group.

Cost: The cost is $30 per class/participant or $150 for the week (5 classes). A sliding scale is available upon request.
