Elephant Crisis Fund Mission:
Every penny of every dollar saves elephants.
Supporters can rest assured that funds go to the best projects and institutions. The Elephant Crisis Fund independently supports a global team of experts to seek and assess both partners and their best ideas for investment ? delivering a valuable service to elephant donors. Each is assessed for their potential impact using Save the Elephants? deep knowledge of elephants and African conservation organizations and extensive network of contacts, as well as field visits.
The Elephant Crisis Fund funds anti-poaching, anti-trafficking, and demand reduction projects around the world regardless of the organization's size?for it is the best ideas, not any one institution, that will save elephants. The ECF can deploy emergency funds within 24 hours.
The STE and WCN teams strongly assess applicants for their efficacy and their projects for priority, ensuring that a dollar to save elephants through the Elephant Crisis Fund is a dollar well spent.
The Elephant Crisis Fund has three programmatic areas in which it invests:
Halting Poaching: Ending the slaughter in Africa
Eliminating Trafficking: Cutting off the criminal syndicates behind the ivory trade
Ending Ivory Demand: Stopping the buying of ivory driving the killing of elephants
