From sharing the stage with Parliament / Funkadelic, Chanté Moore, The Ohio Players, Najee & more, Cleveland-native singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor, alvin frazier, brings his own R&B, soul & jazz sound in a captivating return appearance at BLU Jazz+!

Gifted and versatile are two words that best describe singer, songwriter, musician, producer, composer & actor alvin frazier. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, alvin has been singing since the age of two and pecking at the keys since the age of three.

A self-taught musician, alvin would teach himself to play 4 instruments; piano, guitar, bass & drums. Growing up with 2 musician parents it was inevitable that young alvin would also pursue a path in music and the arts. Over the years he would do just that, forming music groups throughout his formative years ranging in styles from R&B, Hip-Hop, Gospel to Jazz.

alvin has built a reputation for being a dynamic performer and entertainer who leaves his audiences spellbound. Rooted in a tradition that fuses the sounds of R&B, Soul and Jazz with a message of faith, love & hope, alvin is able to captivate audiences of all ages and demographics with his unique delivery and ultra-smooth, yet soulful presentation.

For the past 9 years alvin has been gradually building a following worldwide via the web through his ?official? website, www.alvinfraziermusic.com, along with other social media sites. In that time alvin has released 2 albums as a vocalist, ?Love & Faith: Vol. 1? (2006) and ?A Wonderful Love: Love & Faith Vol. 2? (2013) and has produced music for various independent artists. In 2008, alvin took his music overseas with a successful tour of Japan & South Korea with the Armed Forces. alvin has shared the stage with Parliament / Funkadelic, The Ohio Players, Chanté Moore, Eric Roberson & Kenny Lattimore.

As an actor, alvin has recently completed filming for 2 upcoming appearances as a musician (art imitating life), the highly-anticipated Miles Davis biopic ?Miles Ahead? with Don Cheadle and in the Lifetime film ?With this Ring? with Jill Scott, Regina Hall, Eve & Gabrielle Union. To say that alvin frazier is one of ?The Hardest Working Men in Show business? would be an understatement. PJ Morton is a GRAMMY award winning singer-songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and Maroon 5 keyboardist. He has made many collaborations with well-known artists such as Adam Levine, Lil Wayne, and Busta Rhymes. He has also written and produced for BJ The Chicago Kid, Jermaine Dupri, Jazmine Sullivan, Monica and India Arie. His 5th studio album, GUMBO was released in April 2017. The album was GRAMMY nominated for Best R&B Album this year, and his single, First Began was nominated for Best R&B Song.
