Jonny Grave is a guitarist, songwriter, singer, bandleader, teacher, musical historian, journalist, and Blues-man from Washington, D.C. Growing up in a musical family, Jonny Grave was introduced to the sounds of American traditional folk music early on. At age fifteen, he found himself learning slide guitar techniques from old Blues records, and by seventeen he was performing them live. Grave has performed at hundreds of venues from the red dirt floor of Gip's Juke Joint to the red carpet of the Kennedy Center.

The Storyline
In 1783, the British Government established 19 Crimes Punishable by Transportation. If convicted, the penalty was a one way trip to the penal colony in Australia.

Jump to present day Sykesville, Maryland. This is a quiet town. It is filled with quaint shops, antique stores and clothing boutiques. It recently had the honor of winning the prestigious title "Coolest Town in America." The folks are friendly and quick with a smile.

But they are frustrated with outliers unwilling to follow some simple rules. So, the townsfolk have updated and reinstated the 19 Crimes. Tonight those convicted will enjoy a farewell dinner surrounded by family and friends; for tomorrow they will be banished from Sykesville and shipped out of town.

Unfortunately, a stranger will stumble in during their last meal and die! Oh no! The convicts and guests will be called upon to help solve the crime. They will search for clues, interrogate suspects and solve whodunnit.




The murder mystery is a comedy and will at no time have guests frightened or confused.



Participation Encouraged
This event is an interactive murder mystery game. As a guest, you will be asked to participate as a convict, sleuth or a suspect. Watch out! You could be accused of the crime.



19 Crimes
Tonight's murder mystery storyline is based on a wine created by the Australian winemaker Tony Robinson. Treasury Wine Estates was first established in 1843 in Hunter Valley, Australia and today has an award winning portfolio of more than 70 brands of wine. One of those brands is "19 Crimes" and it was the catalyst for this tale of intrigue written and presented by Whodunnit for hire.

There is no minimum age, however you should be aware that most guests will be over 21, alcohol will be available for purchase throughout the event and it is a wine themed show. You must be 21 in order to purchase alcohol.

Fifties painter Mark Rothko, known for his large solid swaths of color, once claimed to have no real interest in the color itself or whatever form it took, only in expressing simple human emotions. In a similar sense, Colouring is the culmination of several sonic hues -- instrumental and electronic, pop and underground, heart and body -- but the aim is all feeling. London's Jack Kenworthy imbues his work with a wide-eyed relatability, whether he's exploring elation, obsession, or even melancholy over a swirl of lush house rhythm, post-dubstep atmosphere, art rock eclecticism, and sticky hooks. And as for form, the singer/pianist/producer isn't alone. Colouring is rounded out by bassist Dom Potts, guitarist Sean Reilly, and drummer Alex Johnson -- a lithe, powerful team for this mercurial but driven music.

JIMMY BRINK is a Baltimore based percussionist and drummer who has been playing for 25 years. He spent 5 years in the United States Marine Corps Band and now plays with several local musical groups including The Chesapeake Pub Crawl, The Classroom Dragons and The Racket. Jimmy is known for his impromptu, innovative drum solos. He is a dynamic percussionist who lays down succinct rhythm and grooves. Jimmy can be heard keeping time on a myriad of percussion instruments and has a true gift for adding subtle nuances to lyrical themes.

Field Medic is the lo-fi folk project of Kevin Patrick. His first release on Run For Cover Records, Songs From the Sunroom, compiles material he?s recorded and released over two years from a small sunroom in San Francisco which doubled as his bedroom. At eighteen, Patrick discovered the music of Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan, who changed his perspective on what a song could be and led to him developing his own style which he describes as ?freak folk/post country with an emphasis on finger style guitar and lyrics.?Patrick initially embraced lo-fi because he felt that his home recordings were a truer method of expressing what hewas creating than anything he could do in a studio. Drawing inspiration from new wave and rap, Patrick pushed the boundaries of what a folk song could be, incorporating new elements in each subsequent release from analogue drum machines to Casio keyboards to banjo.

The immediacy of that recording process and the freedom of experimentation inherent within are central to Field Medic?s character, extending through his music to his freestyle, improvised mixtapes and his poetry. The tracks on Songs From the Sunroom were recorded during a heightened creative period and released as an almost non-stop flurry of EPs, albums, and singles, all of which have been shared via Bandcamp since 2014. As Field Medic, Patrick has released every song he has ever recorded, a conscious decision summed up in his philosophy that ?all expression is valid?.

?I don?t believe in perfection, I learned that perfect wasn?t real? he explains, continuing ?To me [the tracks on SFtS] aren?t demos, they?re the finished songs because no one was waiting on any other versions, so why would I??This past January, Patrick gave up his sunroom in San Francisco to travel around the country playing music. Along the way he has joined up with acts such as Pinegrove and The Neighborhood as well as appearing at Outside Lands 2017. The coming year will find Field Medic recording his debut full-length for Run For Cover Records and touring heavily.

This is a milestone year for the Posies, fronted by Ken Stringfellow and Jon Auer. The band began its career exactly 30 years prior by releasing a home-recorded cassette called "Failure", which to their complete surprise became an instant favorite around the Northwest, earning them critical accolades, radio airplay, and major label interest all in a very short time.
The band went on to sign with Geffen records where they were labelmates with Nirvana and Sonic Youth, and steadily built a following around the world via their infectious hooks and furious live shows.

To take this anniversary celebration around the globe, the Posies, who have had a few lineup changes over the years (always based around the founding duo of Auer and Stringfellow) will be on tour as the 1992-1994 lineup that made "Frosting on the Beater", their breakthrough album ? Jon and Ken will be complemented by drummer Mike Musburger and bassist Dave Fox. It?s been almost a quarter century since this quartet has been on the road, and recent warm-up shows have been as explosive as those played by the twentysomethings of yore.
