Guatemalan breakfast is back again!
History:
Our worker-owner Ashley, spent some time learning Spanish in Guatemala a few years ago, and has continued cooking this traditional style meal (desayuno tipico) in her own kitchen. She's excited once again, to share the taste of Guatemala with Harrisonburg. Join us anytime from 7am-3pm Tuesday through Saturday, Sunday (8am-3pm), April 10-15th!
Charitable Partnership: CircusAid
We donate a portion of the Guatemalan breakfast sales to a charity, and this go-around we're excited to partner with them.
Founded in 2016 by Jill Maglio, CircusAid combines occupational therapy with circus arts to address the unique health and well-being needs of individuals and communities. For the last two years Jill has brought circus arts to refugee camps in Lesvos, Greece and Calais, France, providing circus focused activities for children and young people to cope with their current state of uncertainty. In Jill's words "The objective was to provide a bit of respite from the trauma the refugees were experiencing and therefor promote their resilience for the next stage of the journey."

Additionally...
our very own worker-owner, and creator of Guatemalan week will be traveling to volunteer with them this summer! That's right, Ashley is heading to Greece to work with CircusAid and the refugees in camps surrounding Athens.
