Join us at The Station for an evening of original music featuring Grammy nominated songwriter, Suzy Ragsdale, and award winning singer songwriter and Station favorite, Karen E. Reynolds. This is a RARE opportunity to enjoy these great singer songwriters in one of the south's most unique and intimate listening room settings! Hear the stories behind the songs and enjoy the magic moments that can only happen between songwriters sharing a stage.
Showtime is at 8:00 pm but we'll have the optional smoked pork BBQ available at 7:00 pm when the doors open! Here are ALL the details you need to attend!

PRE-SHOW BBQ:
We start smoking pulled pork BBQ early day of show so it will be ready at 7:00 pm when the doors open. Be sure to BYOB or drink of choice, and feel free to bring a side dishes or desert to share if you like but it?s not necessary. We don't sell the BBQ, but we do encourage tipping the smoke master if you decide to eat!

ABOUT SUZI RAGSDALE:
Suzi Ragsdale is one of the few artists to claim Nashville, Tennessee as her home town. Surrounded by music, musicians and songs, along with her Father being none other than Ray Stevens', Suzi spent a lot of time in recording studios and back stages. At home, when she wasn?t playing the piano or listening to her dad and his friends play music, she would sit for hours and sing along with an old Seeburg jukebox, filled with 45?s of the Everly Brothers, James Taylor, The Beatles, Ray Charles and all the hits of the day. Her influences also include Guy Clark, Van Morrison, John Hiatt and countless others.
At 11, she began singing publishing demos for Nashville songwriters. This was a good source of income for Suzi for the next 20 years or so. She?s also sung background vocals on other artists? records, such as Guy Clark, Darrell Scott, Pam Tillis, Suzy Bogguss, Randy Travis, Ian Tyson and many others.
At age 15, she began writing songs and after a few years working the reception desks for some of Nashville?s recording studios, Suzi secured a publishing contract and went to work full time, singing and writing. Her standards had been raised considerably by the company she?d been keeping, and she?d worked with the best ? Guy Clark, John Hiatt, Darrell Scott and Verlon Thompson, to name a few.
Verlon and Suzi collaborated from 1990 to 1998, writing and recording independent albums for their own VnS Records. Their two duet CDs were very well received and many of the songs on them have been recorded by other artists such as Anne Murray, Pam Tillis, Suzy Bogguss, Rodney Crowell, Lari White and Billy Dean.
Suzi continued to collaborate with Darrell Scott, both on stage and in the studio, performing on all of Darrell?s CDs, written with him and had him produce her first solo album, Future Past, to which he contributed his talents as an instrumentalist, along with Verlon and a host of other great musicians.
Suzi has gone on to write, record and release her own music and her release, 'Best Regards/Less of the Same? charted on Americana radio, debuting at 35. She received a Grammy nomination for her song, ?Bad Angel,? recorded by Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert and Jamey Johnson and nominated in the Best Country Collaboration Category.
Suzi says. ?My 30 years of making records and wanting to be heard looks like it?s paying off now.?

Award winning Singer Songwriter and Recording Artist, Karen E. Reynolds, has appeared at premier venues, performance series' and high profile festivals such as Nashville's Bluebird Cafe, Atlanta's Eddie's Attic, Kent State Folk Festival, Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, Jammin at Hippie Jacks, Bristol Rhythm and Roots, Cape Fear Folk Festival, Nashville Songwriters Festival, National Shrimp Festival, Rhythm n Blooms Festival, The Square Room, Dogwood Arts Festival, Douglas Corner, Fleur de Lis Acoustic Series, The Listening Room, and the cherished Ford Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame, all while sharing the stage with some of the best in the music industry and in front of tens of thousands.

Karen currently enjoys a variety of publishing arrangements, including managing her own publishing.
A respected music industry consultant, Karen is also host and program director of a worldwide program that has aired for over 19 years, is a sought after speaker and workshop presenter at conferences and music industry events, and has taught songwriting and music business for a variety of organizations and universities. Karen is also the Director of the very successful 'FBISF In-Schools Outreach Program', and serves as the 'writer-in-residence' instructor for the Mississippi Songwriters Festival Educational Outreach. THE STATION FAQ's:
- Is it ok to BYOB or bring in small cooler? Yes only if you're over 21 yrs old feel free to BYOB or drink of choice, and bringing in a small cooler that fits under your seat is fine. Just please drink responsibly or have a designated driver.
- Does my RSVP or advance ticket reserve me a specific seat? No it's festival seating but any seat is a good seat.
- Are advance tickets refundable? If we receive your request 7 days before the show date we can refund the ticket amount less the cost of our processing fees.
- Should we bring our own chairs? No, we have plenty of seating.
- Can we bring chips, snacks, or side dishes to share? Yea sure several people do, and it's always appreciated, but not required.

- Is The Station a smoke free venue? Yes, smoking is only allowed outside, and far enough away to not bother guests.
- Can we bring the kids? Keep in mind some folks bring adult beverages, but The Station's certainly not a bar environment. but rather a listening room. We must respect folks paying to listen to the music, so we prefer kids must be 12 yrs or older to attend our shows. That said we're reasonable folks so just contact us if you need to request an under 12 exception.
