The Academy of Music Theatre is proud to present The Valley Letters Project: Live on Stage, a new series celebrating the art of letter writing and its connection to our local history.

The evening will feature letters by historic people of note connected to the Western Massachusetts/Pioneer Valley region read aloud by contemporary people of note who are currently impacting the Western Massachusetts and the Pioneer Valley landscape.

Join us for letters of love, home, friendship and advice from Susan B. Anthony, John Brown, Richard Burton, Calvin Coolidge, Emily Dickinson, Frederick Douglass, Amelia Earhart, Ralph Waldo Emmerson, Nathanial Hawthorne, Helen Keller, Leonard Nimoy, Frederick Law Olmsted, Elizabeth Taylor, Sylvia Plath, Sojourner Truth, Kurt Vonnegut and MORE; with letter readings by Mo Willems, Nannette Vonnegut, Jay Driscoll, Mayor David Narkewicz, Richard Michelson, Timothy Lovett, Josh Simpson, Susan Daniels, Stephanie Carlson, Anna Bowen, Peter Ives, Mike Haley, Melanie Freedom Flynn, Tanya O?Debra, Andre Boulay, Rosemary Caine, Reynolds Whalen and MORE.

A silent auction will take place in the Salon Room of the Academy of Music during the event.

All funds raised will benefit the operation of our beloved and historic Academy of Music Theatre.

Anthony Jeselnik is a stand-up comedian from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Anthony starred in and created THE JESELNIK OFFENSIVE, which ran for two seasons on Comedy Central and has written for and appeared on several roasts for Comedy Central, most notably THE ROAST OF DONALD TRUMP and THE ROAST OF CHARLIE SHEEN. Anthony has performed on CONAN, THE TONIGHT SHOW, JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE and was the first ever stand-up comic to appear on LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON. He has also written for LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON and received an Emmy Nomination for his work on A NIGHT OF TOO MANY STARS: AN OVERBOOKED CONCERT FOR AUTISM EDUCATION. Anthony hosted season nine of NBC?s LAST COMIC STANDING alongside judges Norm Macdonald, Roseanne Barr and Keenen Ivory Wayans. Anthony received praise for his hour long special THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, which was released by Netflix in 2015.

This show is a partial benefit for the Easthampton-based Rosenberg Fund for Children, where SPOUSE frontman Jose Ayerve has been a member of the Board of Directors for over a decade.

The RFC is a non-profit foundation that helps kids in the U.S. whose activist parents have been attacked because they're working to combat racism, protest police brutality, preserve civil liberties, safeguard the environment, wage peace, and organize on behalf of immigrants, workers, prisoners, queer and trans people, and others whose lives are under threat. The Fund makes grants that pay for educational and emotional support services for these ?children of resistance.?
