The Advanced class will expand on the foundations of American Tribal Style ® Belly Dance by layering movements on top of each other and learning how to create combos and incorporate more complex moves, and how to move in and out of formations to create an exciting and fully formed set. This class is for more advanced students of ATS® Belly Dance. Students will need to have completed 2 full sessions of Beginner ATS® Belly Dance or have the approval of the instructor before attending the advanced class. Students should wear something comfortable to move in and may bring a water bottle to class. Students will need a set of zills for class.

About the Artist: Dawn Grey is an American Tribal Style® Belly Dancer, Certified Instructor, Fat Chance Belly Dance® Sister Studio, and the Director of Blissful Sunrise Belly Dance and the performance troupe Seize The Sway. She has had a love of dance almost since before she could walk. She has been trained in ballet, tap, and jazz dance throughout her childhood, teens, and as a dance major in college. Then life stepped in. She is a devoted wife and mother of two who stopped dancing to get a job with health insurance. Fourteen years later she realized something was missing. It was then that she found ATS® Belly Dance and fell in love. She has not stopped since and loves to share her passion with others.

The Beginner class will teach students the foundations of American Tribal Style ® Belly Dance including Foundational Steps both fast and slow, posture, formations, the improvisational format, and playing the zills (finger cymbals). This class is for anyone who has not tried ATS® Belly Dance before or who wants to work on, or improve their foundational movements. No previous dance experience is necessary and no, you do not need to show your belly if you don?t want to. Students should wear something comfortable to move in and may bring a water bottle to class. The day after GGOOLLDD frontwoman Margaret Butler graduated from art school in Baton Rouge she packed a Uhaul and headed west. "I was like, yeah, I'm not going to live here anymore," she recalls, laughing. Her first stop was Portland, Oregon, where she subsisted mostly on "ramen noodles and pumpkins people stole for me from Home Depot," she remembers. "You saut? them down and add lots of black pepper and curry powder and soy sauce. It's actually pretty good!" Butler was riding high on that particular sense of freedom that comes when you've decided your life plan is to just say yes to pretty much everything. So you don't really care that you're broke and subsisting on stolen jack-o-lanterns, because you're not in your suburban high school anymore, hiding your disdain for the cheerleaders. You're in a weird and cool new town, hanging out with musicians and designers and artists. You're free to mess around. Explore. And just when you're starting to get a little over living "four people deep," as Butler puts it, in your tiny apartment, another friend says, hey, come out to Wisconsin for a while. So you do. (Because: say yes!) And a while later, when, boozy in a bar one night, you hear some beats you think you'd like to write lyrics to, even though you've never so much as held a microphone in your life, you go for it. (Say. Yes.) And the next thing you know, you're fronting a dynamic, dirty, synth-pop carnival of a band, hearing your single on the radio, and touring the country.

June 24th marks the release of the brand new EP, Sensory Overload, from Nor Cal's APOTHESARY. This young band, average age 21, started making music as 14-year-old friends blending their influences into something they could call their own. Talented and hilarious comedian Nick Swardson is bringing the laughs across the U.S.A. for his TOO MANY SMELLS TOUR for a 32 city tour run.

The road to success has been a steady climb for Nick Swardson, who started his career in St. Paul/ Minneapolis, then on to New York and Los Angeles, where he first found success by writing "Malibu's Most Wanted" for Warner Brothers and by featuring in the hit Comedy Central series RENO 911. After catching the attention of Happy Madison Productions, he quickly became a fixture in the company, writing or co-writing and producing such projects as "Grandma's Boy," "Benchwarmers" and co-producing "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" with Adam Sandler and Kevin James. More recently Nick has performed in movies such as ?That?s My Boy,? ?Blades of Glory,? ?30 Minutes or Less,? and ?Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star,? which he wrote, starred in, and produced. His first CD/DVD, "Party", on Comedy Central Records (produced by Happy Madison) went platinum. He followed that up in 2010 with his first one-hour stand-up special on Comedy Central, ?Seriously who Farted.?

In addition to his career in film and in the world of Stand Up Comedy, Nick continues to have a prolific career in television. His Comedy Central sketch show, "Pretend Time with Nick Swardson? ran from 2010 to 2012, and he voiced the role of Troy on FXX?s animated show, ?Chozen.? Joining together in the name of fun & joy, the 4onthefloor bring their well-oiled, high-octane, rock'n'roll to the world with an immediacy rarely seen on stage in the 21st century. The furious delivery ebbs and flows with sing-a-long anthems and breakdowns to soaring guitar solos and unbridled full-bore rock. Camaraderie is a common theme, and stompers are finding like-minded rock'n'rollers at every show. Hailing from Minnesota, they take the heavy road route, grooving in the tracks of so many rubber to the road musicians before them. Following in the footsteps of some of the band's influences, being on the road plays a large role in the writing. The merriment must come from all angles, including the stage for a memorable show and the 4onthefloor BRING IT. We're Not Going Anywhere: At a historical moment of immense political, social, and ecological uncertainty, those four simple words comprise both a promise and a protest, a comforting reassurance of inclusion as well as a hearty cry of defiance. It's a statement that offers no small sense of hope, in that sense matching the music contained on the album. On these vividly imagined and passionately performed songs David Ramirez takes in the world from his unique perspective: "Being half white and half Mexican has made this current political climate especially interesting. So many cultures in this country are being viewed as un-American and it breaks my heart.
